    Description

    We have been retained to find a Chief Financial Officer in New York City. This role reports to the CEO.

    Are you eager to jump into an equity position, working with an inspirational team, where your leadership and capabilities can shine and will be rewarded? This is an excellent role for a proven CFO who wants to make a real difference in a middle-market company with an equity play, or an up-and-comer who is ready to take the next step and own the entire finance and accounting function.

    Onsite in Manhattan 3 days per week, remote 2 days per week. Must live within commuting distance of NYC.

    This is a confidential search, but on our first call we will share all information about the company and opportunity with you.

    Qualifications

    • Experience working within middle-market companies
    • PE experience preferred
    • Accounting transformation experience, while leading the controller and accounting team
    • Lengthy experience living and/or working in New York City
    • Proven FP&A skills
    • Operational finance expertise - process improvement, labor optimization, revenue and customer analytics, product profitability, Capex planning, business planning, budgeting, and CF management
    • Strong leadership to build enhanced engagement between the finance department and other business functions
    • Gravitas - style and competence influence peers and the broader organization
    • Ability to manage robust discussions and positively debate with the CEO, the peer leadership team, and the PE firm
    • Analytical and data-driven problem solver
    • CPA required
    • MBA, and/or Master's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred
    • Experience closing books; GAAP accounting exposure important but not critical
    • Hold firm to performance expectations and driving measurable results
    • Always consider and care about the people impact to business decisions
