- Administering and/or overseeing medication administration as required.
- Recording vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, along with monitoring food and fluid intake and output.
- Observing residents to assess their response to specific medications and reporting any unexpected reactions to the Healthcare Director.
- Coordinating with physicians and their offices to manage or modify resident care orders.
- Ensuring prompt response to emergency calls through the emergency response system to attend to residents' needs promptly.
- Participating in training sessions and conferences to stay updated on nursing profession advancements and maintain necessary CEU's for licensure.
- Supervising and documenting all duties assigned to direct care staff appropriately.
- Contributing to the Care Planning process as delegated.
- Training direct care staff to ensure compliance with state regulations, as directed by the Healthcare Director.
- Resolving team member, resident, and family concerns to enhance satisfaction levels and facilitate effective communication.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of all sensitive resident and staff information.
- Performing any other assigned tasks to guarantee the well-being and safety of The Tradition residents and team members.
- At least one (1) year of experience in home health, assisted living, hospital, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is mandatory.
- Prior management experience is a plus.
