The selected candidate will alsobe responsible for:
Review customer Statement of Work (SOW) and technical specifications, providingfeedback as to missing and/or insufficiently defined requirements, technical risks, andoptimalsystem architecture.
Contribute to internal and customer design reviews, with responsibilities typically including electro-mechanical-hydraulic power units, actuator and transmissionselection, control system design and overall system modeling (MATLAB/Simulink), mechanical design guidancepertaining tomodals, harmonic response, non-linearities and alignment, and creation and maintenance of the motion system Acceptance Test Procedure.

Auxiliary integration responsibilities include hands-on debugging and correction of residual electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic issues not identified by design reviews or resolved during assembly and wiring checkout.
Primary integration responsibilities include feedback calibration, safety interlock configuration, and control loop compensation (amplifier current loop, 3-stage servo valve spool loop, motion loops).
Communicate drawing redlines to electrical and mechanical departments, create control and system block diagrams, and contribute to the system operating manual from the perspective of safety interlocks, operation, and control.
Assist with the development of new product lines and capabilities, such as motion controllers, robotic manipulators, stabilized platforms, custom actuators and components for harsh environments.
Develop andmaintainExcel and MATLAB/Simulink based design tools, primarily for the purpose of actuator sizing, feedbackselection, and system performance estimation

Rate sensors like tachometers
Acceleration sensors like accelerometers (IPC, piezo)
Pressure,forceand torque transducers
Inertial measurement sensors like accelerometer, gyroscopes
General working knowledge of hydraulic actuation components and concepts, such as Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs), servo valves, vane actuators, accumulators, relief valves, needle valves, proportional valves, pressure sensors, and
