    Description

    Major duties include but are not limited to:
    Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments in accordance with VHA National Scheduling guidelines.
    Receiving phone calls.
    Providing coverage for scheduling staff during intermittent shortages and breaks.
    Providing information to patients necessary to resolve patient complaints.
    Responsible for answering phones and relaying messages to appropriate staff inside or outside of the Care Team.
    Interpreting, verifying, and disposition of provider orders in accordance with VHA National Scheduling Directive, Policies, and Guidelines.
    Participates in Huddles and Interdisciplinary Meetings.

    Scheduling appointments across multiple clinics and specialties utilizing a variety of appointment modalities, including to but limited to Face to face, telephone, Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT), Clinical Telehealth Home (CTH), VA Video Connect (WC) and Direct Scheduling.

    Faxing Medical Records to Community Care Providers and Non-VA Healthcare Institutions.
    Requesting Medical Records from Community Care Providers and Non-VA Healthcare Institutions.
    Provides input on work and clinical flow processes.

    Work Schedule:
    Tours will vary and be discussed during the interview process.

    Telework:
    Available; however, the availability is dependent on the service line selected for and is at the supervisors discretion.
