    How You Will Contribute:

    Job Duties: Customer-facing senior technical team representative focused on Tier 1 IP network solutions. Responsible for customer presentations, network designs, engineering, and quotes as well as providing assistance to customers and other Ciena regional engineers. Perform technical tasks,
    including development of test plans, lab proof of concepts, demos, and software upgrades. Gather and understand solution requirements, and work with internal organizations to develop strategies, solutions, and technology options to present to customers.

    May telecommute from anywhere in the United States. Travel required.

    The Must Haves:

    Requirements: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Sales Engineer-related occupation, including experience in:

    • Data Networking, Carrier Ethernet, IP/MPLS, IGP/BGP routing, Segment Routing, Route Optimization, Assurance, and EVPN;
    • 4G/5G wireless networking, xRAN, and front/mid/backhaul network systems;
    • IP/MPLS networks, architectures and network management;
    • SDN, network virtualization, and public, private and edge cloud;
    • Automation analytics in networking operations;
    • Next Gen management interfaces including NETCONF/YANG, gRPC, and gNMI; and
    • Test equipment such as traffic generators and power meters.
