    Role Purpose Statement

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Intern to join our team at LSG Sky Chefs.

    This internship offers an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the airline catering industry, specifically in quality control and food safety practices.

    The ideal candidate will have a passion for ensuring the highest standards of product quality and safety.

    Main Accountabilities


    Work closely with our quality assurance team to perform inspections and audits of food production processes, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

    Collect and analyze data related to food quality, safety incidents, and compliance metrics. Assist in generating reports and identifying areas for improvement.
    Participate in product testing and sensory evaluations to assess taste, texture, appearance, and overall quality of food items.
    Support the maintenance of documentation related to quality assurance procedures, including SOPs, HACCP plans, and food safety records.

    Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for production staff on quality control processes, hygiene practices, and food safety protocols.

    Contribute to ongoing initiatives to enhance quality assurance processes, optimize efficiency, and minimize waste.
    Collaborate with various departments including production, procurement, and maintenance to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Food Science, Nutrition, Microbiology, or a related field.
    Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
    Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional weekend or evening work, as needed.
