    OurFlatiron location, located steps away from Madison Square Park, is a brand-new facility featuring studio-quality fitness programming, comprehensive personal training services, a variety of recovery options, communal work and social spaces, artisanal food offerings and a year-round calendar of social and cultural events that reflect the ethos of the neighborhoodwe serve. Chelsea Piers Fitness is designed to inspire and reflect the creative needs of its members as they build toward achieving their fitness goals.

    This is a unique opportunity to join our founding team at the newest Chelsea Piers Fitness location in the Flatiron District.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    As an integral member of the founding team, the Membership Consultant will focus on selling Founding Memberships during the pre-sales period and then continuing to build the club's high-quality membership base once the club opens through a strongsales effort.

    The Membership Consultant will be responsible for:
    • Adoption of relationship-based sales philosophy focused on information discovery
    • Prospecting, lead generation, and building of referral business
    • Sale of new memberships including Founding Memberships and Corporate Memberships
    • Achieving or surpassing individual sales goals
    • Knowledge of all member opportunities within the club and selling ancillary services; connecting new members to areas of interest to set them up for success and long-term membership
    • Working cohesively with a team of Membership Consultants, your Membership Sales Manager and VP of Membership Sales to be successful individually and as a team
    • Establishing a strong sales pipeline, meeting sales objectives and collaborating with a team to achieve the overall goals of the business
    • Managing select events geared towards engaging the membership base and/or generating interest in and excitement around the club
    • Serving as a visible and active goodwill ambassador with members and at select special events
    • Delivering superior customer service with an aim towards member retention
    Qualifications

    Qualifications:
    • A four-year degree from an accredited college or university, preferred
    • 1+ years of Membership Sales experience, preferably in a high-end fitness environment
    • Analysis and understanding of key business metrics that directly impact membership growth
    • Self-motivated/entrepreneurial spirit with an outgoing, diligent and affable disposition
    • Superior customer service skills; excellent and clear communication skills, both verbal and written; strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Passion for fitness with a team-first mentality
    • Willingness to become an expert in and active participant in the club's services, classes and programs
    • Ability to work evenings and on weekends; one weekend day is required. Schedule will be either:
    • Sunday-Thursday
    • Tuesday-Saturday
    • Ability to work on holidays as needed
    Compensation:

    Base Salary: $40,700

    Total Expected Compensation: $75,000-$100,000
