    summary We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our onsite team at our Brownsville Texas location A successful candidate will take charge of all aspects of domestic and international shipments, including customs formalities for imports and exports.

    This role demands a team player with strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and prior logistics experience in the oil and gas industry.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Coordinate freight for domestic shipments from suppliers to our location, intercompany transfers, and deliveries to customers across the US.

    Lead negotiations with carriers to ensure efficient and cost-effective cargo movement. Collaborate with carriers on monthly shipments reports and implement logistics programs to reduce freight costs. Issue Bills of Lading (BOLs), track and trace shipments, and file freight claims as necessary. Maintain freight accounts with carriers and provide assistance to operations as needed. Keep a detailed shipments log and invoice outbound shipments promptly.

    Manage the end-to-end export process, including mode of transport selection, carrier negotiation, export document preparation, green light coordination, SLI issuance, export declaration filing, record-keeping, track and trace, and invoicing.

    Ensure compliance of all imports with applicable rules and regulations.

    Review shipping documents, provide green light to ship, arrange freight, track and trace shipments, send instructions to customs broker, coordinate last-mile delivery, audit customs entries, and maintain import records.

    Provide support to other functions and operations, including resolution of overages, shortages, and damages. required-skills: Requirements: Proven logistics experience in the oil and gas industry. Strong negotiation skills with carriers. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills. Proficient in tracking and tracing shipments, and filing freight claims. Experience with import and export regulations and customs procedures. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
