    Description

    Senior Tax Compliance Associate

    Responsibilities:


    • Perform thorough and precise tax allocations for partnership income, ensuring accuracy and compliance.


    • Collaborate closely with financial reporting teams and tax advisors to ensure meticulous accounting of transactions.


    • Supervise and orchestrate the gathering of tax data from both domestic and international portfolio companies.


    • Compile and meticulously review tax data for the preparation of federal and multi-state tax returns, including partnerships and corporations, as well as the review of K-1s, federal, and state tax returns.


    • Identify and execute or review state withholding tax requirements concerning income allocation to nonresident recipients.


    • Identify and execute or review US withholding tax requirements concerning US source income allocations to foreign recipients.


    • Manage quarterly projections and associated estimated payments to ensure precise and timely reporting to stakeholders.


    • Address inquiries and requests from tax authorities, including managing notices received from taxing bodies.


    • Assist in tax audits across various jurisdictions.


    • Conduct in-depth research on domestic and foreign tax reporting issues.


    • Review FATCA and CRS reporting to ensure compliance with regulations.


    • Address tax inquiries from Limited Partners or handle ad-hoc requests efficiently.


    • Provide support to the Finance team and collaborate with other business units as required.


    • Identify areas of risk and opportunities for enhancing efficiency.

    Education/Experience:


    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance, preferably in a Big 4 firm, within the alternative asset management industry, with a focus on Real Estate or Investment Partnerships.


    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


    • Experience in partnership tax is highly desirable.


    • CPA certification or a graduate degree is advantageous.
