Description

A locally owned wholesale distributor is adding a Senior Accountant to their operations team in the Shelbyville, KY area. This industry leader's success is earned with a strong commitment to excellence and exceptional service to their customers. This experienced Accountant will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions related to the day-to-day operations of a wholesale distribution business. Competitive salary commensurate with experience and full employee benefits. (No remote. This position could be a part-time role with an hourly rate if sought.) Highlighted Duties:

Accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing, billing, and collections.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and vendor statements.
Monitor inventory levels and reconcile inventory accounts to ensure accuracy.
Maintain pricing spreadsheet for updates and accuracy.
Product cost accounting.
Review and maintain customs documentation.
Understanding of GAAP compliance.
Work within a custom ERP system.
Provide outstanding customer service and communication.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.

Highlighted Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
2+ years of experience in daily accounting roles, preferably in wholesale distribution, manufacturing, or similar industry.
Previous accounting experience at a small to mid-sized company preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Excellence verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills needed to effectively convey information to others.
Desire to work collaboratively in a small team environment-roll up your sleeves and help where needed attitude.
