- Support the Controller and Accounting Staff by maintaining accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
- Receive purchase requisitions and review for clarity, accuracy, and completeness; assign appropriate codes; process purchase requisitions and collect source documents.
- Review credit card transactions for accuracy and legitimacy, collect source documents, and record transactions in the general ledger.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including vendor statements, by researching and correcting discrepancies.
- Review and record daily reports, then review monthly and quarterly investor reports on FICS and prepare a report for management.
- Assist the Accounts Payable Coordinator by receiving and processing payment for all accounts payable invoices as needed.
- Maintain records, input data entry, and submit monthly reports to FHLB.
- Ensure compliance with Davis-Bacon Act and submit required reports to various funding agencies.
- Create and submit invoices to various housing authority agencies.
- Assist the Accountant with audit schedules and accounts payable related requests from auditor.
- Cross-train with other staff, including loan servicing to assist as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduation with an Associate Degree from an accredited University or College in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the accounting field, preferably in construction or lending.
- Fluent in English and Spanish language in both written and verbal styles.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Working knowledge of database software; Internet software, accounting software, spreadsheet software and word processing software
