- Maintain a strong sense of ownership of entire culinary offerings provided by Klocke Estate and execute culinary offerings with a high level of precision and care.
- Assist Culinary management in special projects, kitchen operations and menu development.
- Assist in maintenance of facility, storage areas and work spaces.
- Assists with receiving, organizing and storing of incoming culinary and operational products.
- Assist with washing of service wares and culinary tools as needed.
- Participate in daily service meetings with leadership and other hospitality team members.
- Work proactively with Event staff to execute all events to Klocke Estate standards.
- Assist in training of new team members.
- Maintain complete knowledge of products and specifications. This includes ingredients, descriptions, sourcing, brands, allergens, etc.
- Comply with sanitation standards and procedures according to health and legal regulations.
- Show up for your shift on time and ready to work, dressed appropriately and with any tools pertaining to your position.
- Cultivate a comprehensive knowledge of our kitchen operations as detailed by the Employee Manual.
- Treat all areas of the building with respect. Help to promote a safe and clean environment for co-workers, and guests.
- Effectively communicate in written and spoken English.
- Proactive in communication to management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings, training sessions, and continuing education activities.
- Maintain a reasonable schedule with flexible availability, including early mornings or late nights, holidays, and time for all staff meetings and tastings.
- The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 10 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. The culinary program at Klocke Estate embodies the rich culinary heritage of France and Europe framed by a Hudson Valley perspective with a focus on seasonal produce, sustainable farming practices, in celebration of the best possible products.
The culinary department at Klocke Estate is looking for highly motivated and passionate cooks to bring their creativity and skills to our team. We are looking for individuals who work well under pressure, enjoy working with high quality local ingredients, thrive in a team environment and are willing and eager to learn and grow.
Line Cooks are responsible for prepping and executing all menu items and daily family meal with efficiency and attention to detail while maintaining high levels of cleanliness and adhering to health and sanitation requirements.

· Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a kitchen position in a high-volume and/or fine-dining restaurant.
· Food Protection Certificate preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
· The hourly pay for the Line Cook is $24-$28/hr

· Up to 10 Days Paid Time Off for full-time employees
