    We are currently seeking a Program Specialist for a full-time position in the Rochester area. As a Program Specialist, your main duty will be to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals with various needs in a residential setting, along with organizing activities for community integration based on each person's Individual Plan (IP). Reporting directly to the Program Operations Director, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of these individuals.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROGRAM SPECIALIST:

    • Supervise and organize activities tailored to individuals' IPs for community integration.
    • Manage and oversee the tasks of Direct Support Professionals.
    • Keep track of attendance and payroll records for Direct Support Professionals.
    • Conduct regular meetings with Direct Support Professionals to assess program needs and progress.
    • Ensure budget compliance and financial responsibility for all residential programs.
    • Guarantee that programs follow established policies and procedures.
    • Lead the assessment and development of IPs, including necessary updates and revisions.
    • Participate in the IP process, team reviews, and implementation as per regulations.
    • Perform other duties assigned by the Program Operations Director.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE PROGRAM SPECIALIST:

    • Minimum of two years in a supervisory position.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license.
    • Experience with 6400 regulations is a must.
    • Master's degree or higher with at least one year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities.

    OR

    • Bachelor's degree with at least two years of direct experience with individuals having developmental disabilities.

    OR

    • Associate's degree (or 60 credit hours) with a minimum of four years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities.

    *New hires for the Program Specialist role will receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus split into three installments. To be eligible, employees need to stay in a full-time position until the bonus is fully received. This bonus is applicable for new hires between March 19, 2024, and May 31, 2024.
