    Description:

    The Compliance Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring that BridgePrep Academy operates within the legal and regulatory framework governing educational institutions in Florida.

    This senior leadership position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive compliance programs to uphold ethical standards, mitigate risk, and maintain the integrity of our educational services.

    Metrics
    100% of BridgePrep Academy schools receive charter renewal.

    Four new Florida charters.

    Zero letters of 90 Day closures

    Responsibilities
    Download and simplify the most relevant information around state statute to communicate to principals and network leads.

    Design professional development and train principals and network leaders on key compliance.

    Systematize communication, information collection. and submission of all compliance related requests from districts and states.

    Collaborate with principals and SMART financial team to submit compliant reports.

    Develop relationships with district and state creating alignment and shared mission.

    Support in designing board agenda and maintaining board minutes, including board training and fingerprints.

    Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and other external stakeholders, facilitating communication, responding to inquiries, and managing compliance-related inquiries and inspections

    Meet all compliance and authorizer requirements with consistency and comprehensiveness to ensure our long-term success and viability across regions.

    Design and propose recommendations for principals and executive team based on updates from districts or state.

    Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and trends impacting the education sector, and assess their implications for BridgePrep Academy operations.


    Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

    Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership and the Board of Directors on compliance activities, risks, and performance metrics, supporting informed decision-making and strategic planning

    Qualifications and Experience
    An earned bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution

    Master's degree in educational field preferred

    At least 3 years of

    managerial/supervisory

    experience with record of results

    Experience designing system-wide assessments and curriculum products in the relevant content area

    Strong knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing educational institutions, particularly in FLDOE.
