Therapeutic Specialist - North Boston, NY, United States - Oceanic Ventures
Description
We are looking for a therapeutic specialist (m/f/d) in part-time, preferably with additional training in family therapy, for our day group in North Boston, NY.
We work well together - regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic and social background, religion and worldview, age, sexual orientation and identity.
Your tasks:
- Daily support and guidance of children to strengthen their social skills
- Strengthening the children's sense of responsibility and ability to function in a community within a daily structure
- Stabilization and promotion of social and academic development
- Promotion of parenting skills for parents or legal guardians
- Creating and ensuring conditions for children and adolescents to remain in their families
- Therapeutic work, with a workload of 15 hours per week within the group context, organizing group activities, individual conversations
- Conducting regular parent meetings
We expect:
- Completed degree in social work/psychology (or equivalent)
- Additional training in family therapy is desirable
- A solution and resourceoriented approach
- Experience in group and individual work
- Teamwork skills
- Willingness for further education and training
- Willingness for overtime, if needed
- Accompanying group activities, such as trips, etc.
- That you respect the church and diaconal mission and fulfill the assigned tasks in the spirit of the church and diaconia
