    Excellence is in the detailsJob SummaryResponsible for designing and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and plants (from pilotto fully operational) to achieve the production goals of the organization.

    Identifies and develops processand equipment needed to produce specific products, parts, and components.

    Responsible for providing technical direction as it relates to equipment and processes for the glass container manufacturing production activities from the raw material unloading through shipping to customers.

    Provide support and guidance to team when needed. Develop and maintain process improvement policies and infrastructure. Optimize or redesign process flows to meet project requirements. Maintain and update all process related documents. Train resources in process improvement techniques and SOPs.


    MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Provide the planning and recommend resources to improve the glass manufacturing process through statistical based analysis.
    Interpret statistical process control data, collection and analysis. Analyze the data for trends and root cause, and provide appropriate follow up.
    Perform designed experiments to determine actions needed for improved process capabilities.
    Develop and implement projects to improve the manufacturing processInitiate design changes to equipment or processes to achieve improved efficiencies.
    Review and suggest revisions or initiate Standard Operating Procedures.
    Assist in the planning, management and supervision for equipment installation and rebuild projects.
    Work in conjunction with plant manufacturing to maintain production, quality and safety standards.
    Audit and review of current manufacturing practices to maintain continuous improvement in the glass manufacturing process.


    EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS:
    BS in Engineering
    • Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Ceramic or related field.
    Minimum 2-4 years related experience preferred.
    Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
    Must have strong organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities.
    Work experience in manufacturing environment in process engineering or in related area a plus.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
