    Responsibilities

    • Develop and support a safety and compliance strategy
    • Ensure site management sets appropriate safety goals for the team
    • Supervise and mentor safety and compliance staff
    • Create effective safety programs to reduce incidents
    • Communicate safety strategy with leadership
    • Implement safety and compliance policies
    • Design metrics to track progress and promote accountability
    • Establish an effective Occupational, Health & Safety Management System
    • Coordinate with external vendors for waste management
    • Conduct audits to identify compliance gaps
    • Lead incident investigation processes and root cause analysis
    • Provide training on root cause analysis to management
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
    • Monitor and communicate regulatory changes
    • Identify best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives
    • Offer guidance and mentoring on safety initiatives to employees
    • Perform other assigned duties as needed

    Qualifications

    • Make safety a priority in your daily routine
    • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work
    • Skilled at problem-solving and enjoy hands-on work
    • Seeking long-term project opportunities
    • Associate's degree or equivalent required
    • 5 years of supervisory experience in safety roles
    • Knowledge of construction and/or telecommunications/electrical/gas industry
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities
    • Familiarity with relevant regulations
    • Capable of maintaining confidentiality
    • Reside in the San Antonio area

    Compensation Package

    Salary Guidelines: $75,000-$85,000/yr (DOE), inclusive of company truck
