- Teach students how to perform duties in the clinical settings
- Supervise the care provided by a group of students
- Work with students at post conferences
- Coordinate with clinical site staff to make student patient assignments
- Work with classroom instructors to align curriculum and meet educational goals
- Evaluate students' clinical work.
- Participate in faculty meetings, instructional seminars and in-service training sessions
- A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an academic institution accredited by a regional or nationally accredited agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Education or administration training preferred, Master's degree preferred.
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in Illinois required.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a registered nurse.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a nurse educator in an educational institution or healthcare environment.
- Designated nursing areas are: Medical/Surgical, Adult Health, Intensive Care.
- Direct patient care experience within the previous year in a clinical setting or as a nursing instructor.
