    Operation Manual Writer/Engineering Assistant

    MRF is a manufacturer of High Temperature and controlled atmosphere Furnaces used for production of parts to R & D in (private sector, Colleges/Universities and Government Labs).

    Main responsibilities of this position will be to assist with clerical work in the engineering department and create Furnace Installation and Operation manuals.

    This includes:

    · Gathering both paper copies and electronic copies of component manuals (these are components we purchase for our equipment).

    · Use Microsoft Word to compose descriptive text explaining the installation, operation and maintenance instructions including creating tables and figures as necessary to easily convey details.

    · Convert the manual (word document) to a pdf document with bookmarks and links to associated documents.

    · Printing of the paper copy of the manual.

    · Printing out assembly drawings – these to be included with the manual for customer reference.

    · Converting drawings to pdf format – these to be included with the manual for customer reference.

    · Collecting the printed pages of the manual and collating it along with support documents into a binder which will be included with our furnace.

    · Copy all documentation to a flash drive as the electronic copy for the customer.

    · Processing work orders

    · Upkeep of records and paperwork (physical and electronic).

    · Printing out fabrication drawings and B.O.M.'s, folding the drawings and stamping them for project identity and required quantity.

    · Some Excel, Word work to document Release of Work orders.

    · Data entry entering Bills of Materials into ERP system.

    · Printing out and assembling system operating manuals; includes gathering purchased component instructions (paper and electronic copies), making copies of required drawings.

    · Converting 2D drawings to pdf format for use internally and for suppliers.

    Experience necessary using MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
