    Description

    Job Description:

    Insight Global is seeking an Associate Network Operations Specialist that will eventually transition into the Network Operations position. This person will be in charge of Learning how to support Pipeline Operations Control desk issues related to phone systems, SCADA servers/systems, remote SCADA devices and network supported infrastructure. They will use and maintain network management tools (Wireshark, LiveAction, NetBrain, Cisco FMC, Cisco Secure workload, Cisco APIC, Infoblox, Citect, SolarWinds, etc.) to monitor and maintain all IT network infrastructure hardware and software. On a day to day they will monitor, debug, and resolve Tier 2 Cisco infrastructure issues (routing, network hardware/software failure, configuration, WAN outages, firewalls, performance issues, etc.). They will also be maintaining and supporting configuration management of Cisco infrastructure and Palo Alto firewalls. Along with this they will monitor, manage, and resolve all data network circuits, outages, WAN/LAN utilization and packet errors. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends and holidays) to support 24x7 NOC.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    CCNA level certification is required.

    Associate's degree or higher education in Computer Science is preferred.

    Programing knowledge in one of the following JavaScript, Node.JS, Python, REST API, and PowerShell.

    Strong understanding of IT Cisco network environment including routers, switches and firewalls.

    Strong understanding of the OSI model.

    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

    Experience in troubleshooting network issues.

    Ability to work a rotating schedule.
