    Job Description

    Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years pharmacy experience required.

    We are seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician for a full-time 4 week assignment in West Henrietta, New York.

    Schedule: Full-time, Monday Saturday (10am 6pm; 2pm 10pm)
    (If you work a Saturday, will get a weekday off).

    Responsibilities:

    • Dispenses prescription items in accordance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations, ensuring accurate packaging for both dispensing and delivery while meeting pharmacy standards for accuracy and productivity.
    • Properly labels products, incorporating cautionary or auxiliary labels as needed.
    • Contributes to the periodic inventory process of the pharmacy.
    • Manages tasks such as checking in drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, and removing expired items from inventory.
    • Prepares a variety of medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, involving non-sterile compounding as necessary.
    • Engages with internal and external customers professionally and courteously.
    • Handles the processing of returned medications from the facility, managing credits or destruction as required.
    • Contributes to the onboarding process by assisting in the training of new employees.


    Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Pharmacy Technician license.
    • Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology.
    • Ability to recognize and identify medications.
    • Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, effective oral communication.
    • Long term care experience a plus.
