UVA's Facilities Management (FM) department is looking for candidates for openings as Fire Systems Assistant Technicians. The Fire and Life Safety Department at UVA is in charge of ensuring the safety and reliability of the Fire Protection systems and equipment across various entities like Health System, Academic, Housing and Residence Life, and Athletics.
The Fire and Life Safety Team is responsible for carrying out required inspections, maintenance routines, and repair services for all University properties. As a Fire Systems Assistant Technician, you will help the team deliver consistent, cost-effective, and reliable maintenance and service to the University facilities. Your role will involve assisting technicians in inspecting and maintaining fire detection and suppression systems in different buildings, both public and private.
