The Ray laboratory at the Child Health Research Center, University of Virginia, is looking for highly qualified candidates to join their team as Lab Specialist at varying levels.
Lab Specialist Intermediate
Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a strong background in working with rodent models. A Master's degree in Biology with training in veterinary studies is also accepted. Expertise in rodent surgery and procedures related to kidney and vascular functions is highly valued.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: 6 years of lab technician experience. Master's degree can substitute for required experience. 9 years of relevant experience also considered in the absence of a degree.
Lab Specialist Senior
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: 9 years of lab technician experience. Alternatively, a Master's or Terminal degree plus 4 years of experience in a lab technician role with supervisory experience is accepted. 12 years of relevant experience also considered even without a degree.
