    Description

    We are looking for a motivated Lead Product Designer to join our Aviation Product Design team, creating experiences that delight our consumers and raise the bar for quality and craft. At CLEAR, you'll tackle substantial challenges in the travel and digital identity domain, contributing to our vision and transforming our technology into an experience that feels like everyday magic.

    Join our team if you're passionate about user-centered design, have a history of collaboratively researching, creating and launching seamless digital experiences, and have a demonstrated expertise in designing for native apps.

    What you'll do:

    • Design and deliver end-to-end product flows/UX/UI that translate big abstract ideas into concrete solutions, with a primary focus on CLEAR's mobile app
    • Work closely with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, Operations & Marketing to ensure CLEAR is building the right solutions that address the highest-order needs of both our business and members
    • Define simple, elegant solutions for complex problems, creating friction-free experiences
    • Be a fierce advocate for best-in-class UX/UI across the entire design lifecycle of our products both in the experience design, as well as the visual design of core products
    • Have a consumer-centered approach to design, conducting research, and utilizing data to inform decisions and optimize product performance
    • Map user flows, design, prototype, test, and iterate on new features and products prior to and post-launch

    How you'll measure success:

    • Articulate a compelling narrative for your design decisions for different levels of zoom that can inspire + influence cross-functional partners, teams, and leadership
    • Design and maintain cross-platform interaction patterns and libraries, with experience building out design systems for visual style, typography, spacing, and motion
    • Help drive the right UX Research, both qualitative and quantitative, to yield insightful, actionable, data-driven design decisions, including but not limited to user interviews, usability testing, customer journey mapping, and existing data analysis
    • Connect with design peers by learning, sharing, and teaching

    What you're great at:

    • Demonstrated expertise in designing innovative consumer experiences across native mobile apps and the web
    • Passion for understanding user behavior and anticipating new use cases
    • Curiosity for exploring how digital experiences affect real-world behaviors
    • Design philosophy that emphasizes clean and simple user interactions
    • You take calculated risks: you're comfortable with designing to learn, unafraid of making mistakes, and finding the balance between data-driven decision-making and intuition
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and execute in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong proficiency with current design tools including Figma, Principle, Lottie, and Abstract
    • Possess a strong portfolio that demonstrates your proven track record of success
    • Ability to write, synthesize, and/or analyze usability tests and apply the insights to your solutions
    • Experience developing and conducting discovery and service design research is a plus
    • Experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript is a plus

The base salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.

    The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR's salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR's total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units
