I am a third year undergraduate student at Stony Brook University, expecting to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, as well as a minor in Computer Science. Data Science Intern at Outreach New York

• Created and leveraged SQL queries/stored procedures to produce a medical and socioeconomic dataset of ~900 clients from an electronic health record (AVATAR)
• Built logistic regression and decision tree models in Python to analyze key variables leading to client drug overdoses, improving practitioner treatment accuracy by 67% prioritizing recall at 89%
• Used Machine Learning software (BigML) to optimize weights, split patterns, and apply advanced sampling techniques
• Presented SQL-based reporting and QlikSense visualizations to Outreach executives to identify high impact indicators, propose modified treatment practices, and support administrative decisions

Research Assistant at Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychosis Lab

• Designing big data analysis functions in MATLAB to test reliability and validity of fMRI pre-processing pipelines
• Training a convolutional neural network architecture to predict task performance and identify brain regions with high predictive value from fMRI datasets of 30+ participants with schizophrenia
• Assisting graduate students with the development, deployment, and testing of MATLAB-based code for improved performance in cognitive tasks and analysis of clinical multi-modal neuroimaging
