- Perform moderately complex functions in the design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations. May prepare complicated plans, conduct support studies, and provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations. May assign work to drafters and/or technicians and provide guidance to lower-level engineers.
- Apply basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation in support of
- manufacturing operations:
- Manufacturing routes and work instructions for production
- Identify and procure tools, materials and fixturing for support of production
- Repair and maintenance of production equipment
- Support 6s activities and Continuous Process Improvement
- Provide written reports and support IPT meetings
- Determine root cause and corrective actions for assembly issues
- Read and interpret mechanical assembly drawing and or supporting documentation
- Work closely with Assemblers, Supervisors, Quality and Engineering
- Support of proposal efforts and provide production estimates
- Generation of assembly deviations of product assembly, red lining of documentation and engineering change requests "ECOs"
- Only general guidance is needed on routine work; instructions on new assignments as needed
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field with 5+ years applicable engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience)
- Must be proficient in the assembly of complex mechanical builds utilizing drawing, routes, and work instructions
