    The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.

    Job Summary

    Perform moderately complex functions in the design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations. May prepare complicated plans, conduct support studies, and provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations. May assign work to drafters and/or technicians and provide guidance to lower-level engineers.

May prepare complicated plans, conduct support studies, and provide analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations. May assign work to drafters and/or technicians and provide guidance to lower-level engineers.
    Apply basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation in support of

    manufacturing operations:
    Manufacturing routes and work instructions for production
    Identify and procure tools, materials and fixturing for support of production
    Repair and maintenance of production equipment

    Support 6s activities and Continuous Process Improvement
    Provide written reports and support IPT meetings
    Determine root cause and corrective actions for assembly issues
    Read and interpret mechanical assembly drawing and or supporting documentation
    Work closely with Assemblers, Supervisors, Quality and Engineering
    Support of proposal efforts and provide production estimates
    Generation of assembly deviations of product assembly, red lining of documentation and engineering change requests "ECOs"
    Only general guidance is needed on routine work; instructions on new assignments as needed
    Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field with 5+ years applicable engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience)
    Must be proficient in the assembly of complex mechanical builds utilizing drawing, routes, and work instructions
