    The Opportunity

    As a Regional Sales Manager you will initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with agent, specifiers, distributors and vertical market customers in the Commercial/Industrial market resulting in sales growth of Cree Lighting Products. You will train customers and end users, sales forecasting for the region. Your day will include sales activity in the region, involvement in RFPs, resolving problems, and developing and implementing sales plans. As a strategic contributor to the business, this role has high visibility in one of Cree Lightings most strategic sales channels. This is a remote position with 50% travel expected.

    Responsibilities:
    • Support the development and successful execution of yearly, quarterly, and monthly plans and objectives.
    • Establish a contact list, grading and roll out program for the region.
    • Increase the specification and sales of our lighting products within the Midwest Region
    • Utilize our internal support structure to facilitate the RSM efforts.
    • Support the effort of vertical sales channels as needed.
    • Communicate regularly with our internal support group with such items such as: activity, list management follow up necessities, account management, lead generation and/or other items as determined.
    Qualifications:
    • Ability to communicate with ease cross functionally and at all levels of the business, from the manufacturing floor to Senior Leaders.
    • A demonstrated problem solver, who exhibits exceptional follow-up with a positive demeanor.
    • Deep understanding and experience selling LED lighting and knowledge of the general Lighting Industry

    Your Skillset (Requirements)

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, Business or Marketing degree preferred.
    • 5+ years key accounts sales experience, lighting industry experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics, basic market research techniques, product demonstration, and sales techniques.
    • Proficient in Office 365 and applicable programs, Salesforce experience preferred.
    • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
