Description

The Sales Manager oversees a market segment ie: (Dairy - Direct to Producer, Animal Nutrition - Feed Mills, Industrial, Agronomy) including the sales strategy for this segment.

The Sales Manager plans, implements and executes to the sales program.

Travel Requirements - Up to 60% Travel, Northern WI and Minnesota mainly. Expected to be on the road 3 days a week minimum.


Sales Manager Responsibilities:


  • Develop a deep understanding of customer base and market knowledge and applies knowledge to the development of sales budget.
  • Executes to goal by delivering sales.
  • Develop sales to assigned segment the sales process includes managing prospects through the sales funnel as well as serving established accounts and increasing sales volume.
  • Builds consultative relationships with customers to value sell products and services.
  • Identifies potential new geographic markets.
  • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
  • Works with Customer Care, Operations and Quality to proactively meet customer expectations.
  • Works collaboratively to resolve customer complaints and improve processes related to efficient sales operations.
  • Collaborates with Chief Commercial Officer and Director of Marketing to develop sales quotas and marketing strategies.
  • Coordinates marketing communications with the Director of R&D and the Director of Marketing.
  • Ability to host and attend afterhours events such as dinners and weekend tailgates.
  • Use of CRM and Microsoft Office tools required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Sales Manager Requirements:


  • Proficiency with speaking Spanish a plus.
  • Strong technical knowledge of dairy nutrition and production and/or animal health and/or milking performance is required.
  • Supervisory responsibilities as applicable and outlined below.
  • Travel up to 70% including driving and traveling by airplane.
  • Prolonged periods of driving, sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times and other activities associated with trade show booth set up and logistics.

Base

Pay:
$75, $130,000.00 per year
, depending on experience and education.

Bonuses and commissions are part of the compensation package.
