    Description

    Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Cost Analyst to support the Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO).

    This position is based in Huntsville, AL.


    Job Responsibilities/Duties:
    Develop cost estimates via the Automated Cost Estimating Integration Tool (ACEIT).
    Prepare cost analyses of changes in technical and/or funding baselines.
    Analyze mission requirements to determine cost parameters, specific cost factors, and relationships to be utilized in constructing cost models.
    Provide support for defending cost estimating methodologies.
    Develop life cycle cost estimates to determine the total cost of the program.
    Support contract cost estimating financial activities. Routinely provide detailed financial reports and documentation.

    Provide advice and technical assistance to functional specialists in identifying and evaluating program cost factors and cost impact on program alternatives.

    Evaluate impacts on the program based on direction and funding adjustments


    Required Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    3-5 years of experience in providing cost analysis.
    Possess excellent data-gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    Must know about Cost Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and experience in DoD acquisition programs.
    Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
    Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Strong written and oral communication skills.
    Providing cost analysis and support to defense programs.
    Experience evaluating projects using different methods and options to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the required specifications.

    Refine and adjust cost models in response to changes in technical specifications, support requirements, design alternatives, engineering, and operational trade-off proposals.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with expedited/rapid acquisition efforts.
    Experience in one or more Army program offices
