    Staffing Boutique is excited to announce multiple Full Time/Permanent teaching positions at a charter school in New York City

    POSITION: Middle School Teachers Needed

    SUBJECTS: 6th Grade Science/8th Grade Living Environment & Math ICT Teacher

    ORGANIZATION: Charter School

    LOCATION: Broadway 10004

    FULLY ON SITE – 5 days a week

    START DATE: Upcoming School Year

    SALARY: $75,000

    Qualifications:

    • Strengthen instruction
    • Meet regularly with your Instructional Leader to enhance pedagogical practice
    • Provide unit and lesson plans for special needs students in your classes on schedule to your Instructional leader
    • Engage in professional learning sessions

    Guide student behavior and classroom community:

    • Collaborate, manage, and cultivate a positive culture and climate through relationships to enhance positive academic experiences and effective communication
    • Establish a safe environment for social/emotional learning
    • With assistance from the Thrive team, administer a socio-emotional curriculum to a group of 'advisees' on a regular basis
    • Record all interventions, infractions, and any parental communication in the appropriate system

    Other professional responsibilities:

    • Be present and actively involved Monday through Friday; check in and out of work daily
    • Participate in shared administrative tasks, such as monitoring halls during transitions, assisting deans during student lunch regularly, and supervising after school study hall
    • Accompany on field trips
    • Attend at least two evening events (showcases, family nights, performances) per semester
    • Respond to all parent communications within two work days
    • Engage in formal parent conferences two or three times per year
    • Fulfill other duties in cooperation with the Executive Director, Instructional Leader, and/or grade-level team
