Job Summary:

We are searching for experienced teachers to join our summer school team.

Summer School Teacher will deliver high-quality academic instruction and lead Math and ELA lessons for students Monday to Thursday in the summer school program.

The program will include field trips every Friday to provide students with hands-on learning experiences outside the classroom.

The Summer School Teacher will work closely with the program coordinators and Lavinia consultants to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed academically and have fun.

The hourly pay is $60 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement designed lesson plans aligned with the Lavania Summer Boost curriculum that are engaging and accessible for all students.
Assess student learning and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians on progress and areas for improvement.
Supervise field trips every Friday, ensuring all students are safe and engaged in learning activities.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and success.
Communicate with parents/guardians, program coordinators, and other stakeholders to ensure students receive the support they need.
Follow all program policies and procedures, including student safety, confidentiality, and attendance.
Participate in program orientation and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; Teaching certification preferred.
Minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably with students in elementary K to 5 grades
Knowledge of best practices in instruction, assessment, and classroom management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders.
Ability to plan and lead engaging enrichment activities and supervise field trips.
Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust instruction and support to meet the needs of individual students.
Passion for education and a commitment to student success.

Pay:
$60.00 per hour
