    The role of Principal Construction Program Manager requires a background in datacenter design, engineering, controls, and operational requirements and an emphasis on project/construction management, datacenter lease market experience, client representation and project and Project level services.

    The Datacenter Development (DCD) Principal Construction Program Manager is ultimately responsible for the complete project delivery for each site location.

    This person is responsible for ensuring that each project meets the DCD Guidelines and standards, which may be adjusted from time-to-time based on best practices and Lesson Learned drawn from previous projects as well as industry changing best practice.

    The candidate will coordinate with the Datacenter Engineering (DCE) team and support specialty consultants to update and provide feedback based on design (BOD).

    In managing the delivery of projects, this position aligns team objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts with the Datacenter Development Project Strategy.

    In doing so this will result in effective client relationship management and efficiency in cost management and project delivery.
    This person will be an advocate for managing a safe worksite.

    Safety is one of the four pillars of CO+Is mission in delivering cloud capacity; joined by Quality, schedule adherence, and Cost Management.

    The person in this role will also collaborate with Microsoft Security, Microsoft Information Technology (MSIT), Legal, Project Engineering, Business Risk Management, and other internal groups to maintain the corporate vision and goals for the Project.

    This candidate works directly for the Regional Manager of Datacenter Development for the region where the datacenter development is located and supports the strategic and tactical delivery of datacenter projects in the region.

    Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experienceOR equivalent experience.7+ years experience of datacenter project construction with large-scale datacenters or datacenter lease providers.5+ years experience managing large multi-faceted construction projects.


    Other Requirements:
    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

    These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

    Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
    This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years thereafter.

    • The typical base pay range for this role across the U.
    S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year.

    There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.
