Job description
- The ability to be empathetic and work nonjudgmentally with individuals coping with various life circumstances
- The ability to perform/complete inperson site based visits to participants in the building on a regular basis
- The ability to work with a population of individuals with one or more disabling conditions, such as a mental health disorder, physical health condition and/or a substance use disorder
- The ability to embrace & support participants in goals to maintain stable housing
- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with community providers in the best interest of the participants of the program
- The ability to collaborate with other service agencies to ensure that the participants receive appropriate services
- The ability to meet with and supervise advocates on a weekly basis
- The ability to exercise the flexibility and assertive communication skills necessary to be part of a team
- The ability to participate in the oncall rotation in a supervisory role as directed by program needs
- The ability to work as a team and assist Supported Housing staff as needed
- The ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends to best meet the needs of program participant
- The ability to expand role and take on responsibilities as needed as Supported Housing continues to grow
Qualifications:
- Genuine passion for helping people
- A strong desire to directly engage with providers and other outside agencies in the community to support participants goals
- Organizational, professional communication, and computer skills (including MS Office)
