    Senior Analyst, Budget Services

    Job Description

    *This position will be open until filled. For full consideration, all application related materials should be submitted by Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Application review will begin Friday, April 26, 2024.

    This position provides complex, professional level duties which include data collection, financial and budget data analysis, financial report generation, and budget forecasting.
    • Knowledge of NSHE/Board of Regents policies and procedures
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills with all employee levels and with a variety of constituents
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals in a manner that contributes to building and maintaining an effective and cohesive work team
    • Ability to independently prioritize projects and establish timelines and to coordinate phases of multiple projects through to their completion
    The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel
    • Demonstrated proficiency in financial data analysis and financial data management skills
    • Demonstrated proficiency with the principles, methods, and techniques of budgeting
    • Experience with financial analysis and reconciliation
    • Knowledge of financial accounting and reporting
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field from a regionally accredited college/university; OR equivalent combination of education or experience
    • 3 years of comparable professional experience
    Preferred Qualifications
    • 1 year related experience in Higher Education
    • Knowledge of database application(s), such as Microsoft Access
    • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software such as Workday, Banner, Oracle, etc.
    • Experience with budgeting software, such as Anaplan
    • Demonstrated proficiency with financial metrics and associated KPIs
    • Demonstrated proficiency with financial data visualizations
