Team Overview


The Fund Accounting Analytics (FAA) Team is responsible for providing firm leadership with reporting and analysis to support decision making, existing business, investors and new initiatives.

Key responsibilities include forecasting fund results and returns, providing timely and effective management reporting, producing regulatory & compliance reporting and driving operational efficiencies through process improvement and automation.

To accomplish these responsibilities FAA manages and maintains historical records, databases and models.

The Fund Accounting Analytics Team interacts extensively with Golub Capital's Fund Accounting, Investor Partners Group, Operations, Treasury, Tax, Investor Communications, Technology Solutions, Business Development, Compliance and Valuation Teams.

The overarching theme of the team is exceptional focus on large amounts of data, process and systems and attention to detail.

Position Responsibilities


This is an important role within the Fund Accounting Department as it seeks to support the FAA Team in driving more efficient, standardized and robust reporting capability for the Firm, build a customer focused finance team and drive operational excellence.

This role will assist in supporting the production, designing, developing and implementation of reporting to be responsive to both internal and external constituencies.

This person will play a significant role in these efforts while being exposed to the core processes and deliverables of a fast-paced team serving a growing business.


Primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the FAA Team and other Fund Accounting team members on implementing efficient and effective processes for reporting on Golub Capital's fastgrowing private funds business
  • Maintain strong control while driving efficiency, standardization and automation in a collaborative manner
  • Manipulation and analysis of large amounts of data to produce financial, accounting, reporting deliverables and analysis
  • Optimize the current process and contribute to the system and process improvements needed for longterm growth and development
  • Use of PowerBI Desktop, Excel, Adaptive, Workday and data models to build reports and adhoc analysis
  • Utilize technological / analytical skills to develop new reporting analysis and automating current reports
  • Assist in the accounting and reporting for Golub Capital's various investment funds and vehicles, ensuring processes and output are consistent with US GAAP and specific partnership agreements
  • Qualifications & Experience:_
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Advanced technical accounting and financial analysis skills
  • Understanding / knowledge of Financial Company Balance Sheets, Income Statements and the consolidation of entities
  • Understanding of financial metrics (leverage calculations, return calculations, IRR and performance metrics)
  • Advanced skill level in Excel required (e.g Advanced formulas, Power Query and adhoc modeling)
  • Experience with Workday, Adaptive, Wall Street Office, PowerBI Desktop and similar systems are a strong plus
  • Proactive selfstarter with a positive cando and 'no job too small' attitude
