Job DescriptionLHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to hire a Staff Accountant for a permanent (Full-time, 40 hours per week) opportunity in San Francisco. In this role, you will work 3 days per week on site at the client's office and perform the balance of your duties remotely. Your duties will include accurate and timely period-end close procedures, preparing account reconciliations, assist with audits, and analyze financial statements. This opportunity requires at least 2 years of accounting experience.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
· Prepare account reconciliations and variance analysis
· Prepare general-ledger journal entries
· Coordinate and prepare information for audits
· Review and analyze financial statements and accounting records
· Ensure timely preparation of regulatory federal, state, and local tax fillings
· Work on accounting and financial special projects
DESIRED SKILLS & BACKGROUND
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance-related field
· 2+ years of public or corporate accounting
· CPA or working towards CPA preferred
· Intermediate Excel skills
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Team player
· Thorough knowledge of GAAP
