Description
Our client's Washington, D.C.office is looking for an experienced associate to join its Energy & Infrastructure practice to bolster working on complex issues in a key sector of the economy undergoing transformation because of energy transition.
From complex transactions to "bet the company" litigation to cutting-edge regulatory issues, this is an opportunity to work on regulatory issues involving FERC, state utility commission and CFTC work; transactional matters related to negotiating and drafting of agreements for the purchase and sale of physical electricity and gas, transportation services, asset management agreements, and derivatives; and litigation matters set before relevant regulatory agencies (usually heard before an ALJ).
There is also the opportunity to defend clients in enforcement matters in federal district court, involving the FERC's and CFTC's anti-manipulation.
If you are an attorney licensed in DC, New York, or Texas with experience in FERC and state utility commission and CFTC work and enjoy a background of representing clients in related enforcement proceedings, this is a great opportunity to join an active practice that continues to grow.
