    Position: Caregiver/Direct Service Professional Location: San Francisco, CA Starting Pay: $20+ per hour

    Job Summary: We seek compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Caregivers/Direct Service Professionals in San Francisco, CA. As a caregiver, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need, helping them maintain a high quality of life and independence. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others while working in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Personal Care Assistance: Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, while promoting their dignity, privacy, and independence.
    2. Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules, keeping accurate records as required.
    3. Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food handling and hygiene.
    4. Companionship and Emotional Support: Engage in meaningful conversations, provide companionship, and promote a positive and caring environment for individuals under your care.
    5. Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, tidying up living spaces, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
    6. Transportation: Safely transport individuals to medical appointments, social activities, and community events, using your own vehicle or public transportation.
    7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, incidents, and observations, following agency protocols and guidelines.
    8. Collaborative Teamwork: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for individuals.
    9. Safety and Emergency Response: Recognize and respond to emergency situations promptly and appropriately, following established protocols and ensuring the safety of individuals in your care.
    10. Adherence to Policies and Regulations: Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies, maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional ethics.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (additional training or education in healthcare or related field is a plus).
    • Previous experience as a caregiver or direct service professional is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidates.
    • Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and the care team.
    • Ability to work independently and follow instructions while also demonstrating strong teamwork skills.
    • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if required for the position).
    • Ability to pass background checks and provide references.
