    JOB TITLE:

    Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at WVHK



    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    LPNs are responsible for providing high-quality and diverse patient care services to elderly and/or disabled individuals at WVHK.


    Summary of Responsibilities:
    • Making critical observations of patients
    • Performing personal care, treatments, and medication administration
    • Gathering patient data such as blood pressures and pulses
    • Participating in the management of indirect care and facility goals
    • Participating in activities to achieve unit objectives

    Job Details:

    Positions available for Full Time (40 hrs/week), Part Time (less than 40 hrs/week), and Evening 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm or similar hours). Ability to work varying hours and/or overtime shifts as needed.

    Job duties involve patient transportation, standing or walking up to 75% of the shift, assessments, kneeling, visual observations, and use of safety equipment.

    Required to pass a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test and disclose COVID-19 vaccination status.

    New hires must provide vaccination documentation by the third day of employment.

    Criminal background check will be conducted prior to employment offer.


    OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    Besides LPN certification, candidates should have experience in basic nursing care, administering medications, collaborative work, and computer skills.

    Preferred but not mandatory: experience in advanced nursing care or in long-term care settings.
