- Work closely with project estimators and customers to initiate accurate billing on a timely basis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve billing challenges as they occur.
- Collect, record, and monitor cash receipts.
- Ensures billing activities are recorded to the correct accounts and are recognized properly in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Continuously assess and enhance accounts receivable processes and workflows by implementing improvements where necessary.
- Monitor and manage the aging of accounts receivable and work with various team members regarding collection efforts.
- Facilitate and maintain productive inter-departmental relationships through collaborative communication.
- Assist with tasks related to the billing and payment of various subcontractors.
- Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or similar role.
- Post-secondary education is preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Willingness to learn and explore new processes to add efficiency to Accounts Receivable.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
