Position Summary:The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing of construction projects for the organization. The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by optimizing cash flow through timely billing of invoices and collection of outstanding receivables.

Job Duties & Requirements:

Work closely with project estimators and customers to initiate accurate billing on a timely basis.
Troubleshoot and resolve billing challenges as they occur.
Collect, record, and monitor cash receipts.
Ensures billing activities are recorded to the correct accounts and are recognized properly in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Continuously assess and enhance accounts receivable processes and workflows by implementing improvements where necessary.
Monitor and manage the aging of accounts receivable and work with various team members regarding collection efforts.
Facilitate and maintain productive inter-departmental relationships through collaborative communication.
Assist with tasks related to the billing and payment of various subcontractors.

Preferred Experience/Education:

Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or similar role.
Post-secondary education is preferred
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
Willingness to learn and explore new processes to add efficiency to Accounts Receivable.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Positive attitude and professional behavior
Highly functional in fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Construction background is a plus
