    Description


    Insight Global is searching for a strong Engineering Portfolio Manager who will be sitting onsite, working for one of our local Jacksonville clients.

    This individual will be supporting the Process Engineering group at the leadership level, providing project and program guidance to more junior/heads-down engineering team members in the department.

    This individual will be helping more junior members go through benefit/cost analysis, exploring how to draft up ROI, PV, etc.

    to get priority projects pushed up the chain for budget approval.

    This induvial will regularly be paired up with a senior engineer to vet out ideas, make sure these initiatives make business sense, and then work with leadership to explore how the projects stack up against the rest of the portfolio's priorities.

    They need to be knowledgeable in engineering fundamentals and capital appropriations, and be comfortable taking on a guiding/leading capacity as a contractor.

    This is a long-term contract, with the potential for long-term rolling extensions and conversion to FTE upon positive performance.

    Required Skills & Experience


    • 6+ years of Process, Manufacturing, Materials or Chemical Engineering background
    o 1+ years in a people management/leadership role

    • Experience mentoring and coaching more junior members to develop business cases, prioritize engineering projects across divisions, request funding for capital projects, etc.
    • PMP Certified
    • Regulated environment experience (ideally Med-Device)
    • Strong written and verbal communication
    Nice to Have Skills & Experience


    • Six-Sigma experience (black-belt strongly preferred)
    • Materials/Polymer background

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
