    Campus Compact for New Hampshire (CCNH) is a nonprofit higher education consortium that works to improve learning and strengthen communities by integrating service and civic responsibility throughout college life.

    New Hampshire College & University Council (NHCUC) The New Hampshire College & University Council (NHCUC) is a nonprofit consortium of colleges and universities that collaborate to expand education opportunities across the state.

    CCNH and NHCUC are sister organizations that share space and staff. They collaborate with other community and business partners to administer high-impact initiatives such as GEAR UP, New Hampshire Scholars, and the Statewide Family Engagement Center. These and other initiatives help students succeed in school while providing millions of dollars in services in areas like education, environmental sustainability, health care, poverty, food insecurity, and more. Our portfolio of grants offers a wide range of services including family engagement, college access knowledge, transportation services, and many more supports.


    The Opportunity:

    Campus Compact for New Hampshire is seeking two PACE Project Coordinators to work with students at various middle and high schools in the northern tier of New Hampshire and at White Mountains Community College. In partnership with other CCNH Staff, the coordinators will work with area schools to develop unique programming to meet the needs of students and districts.

    Scope of Work: Reporting to the Director of Community Impact, the PACE Coordinator will be responsible for developing action plans with each school district that allow students to experience college campus, workforce opportunities, and expand pathways for students aligned with high-skilled, high-wage, and in-demand industry sectors. WMCC is a strong partner in this work and coordinators will also help to foster ongoing services for college student success including enrollment, persistence, and overall achievement of personal and professional career goals for WMCC students in the Northern Regions of NH.

    Key Responsibilities:

    College Access:

    • Counsel students toward higher education institutions based on academic interest and career aspirations
    • Work closely with high school counselors, faculty, and administration to provide services to students
    • Work with local and state level workforce development partners to identify current workforce pathways that students may take
    • Work with high school counselors and admissions/transfer counselors at colleges and universities to assist students with applications, financial aid, open houses, campus visits, orientations and other related enrollment activities
    • Plan events such as College Access Conventions, career days, parent engagement nights, and more in collaboration with outside partners and colleagues. Concord based staff will also participate in planning as many of these events are statewide initiatives.

    Student Success:

    • Evaluate student needs and provide referrals to appropriate student services for further assistance
    • Promote a student success program through the design and development of informational or promotional materials in collaboration with other partners to publicize program services and events
    • Establish and strengthen higher education partnerships with area colleges and universities to develop academic pathways
    • Create community engagement opportunities to support student bonding and investment in their learning experience and network
    • Identify strategies to address basic needs insecurity of students

    Other:

    • Regular data entry - compiling records of services
    • Expand community partner relationships (ability to cold call businesses and other partners)
    • Participate in already existing pathways work with local districts and higher ed institutions
    • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education: Requires a minimum of an Associate's degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in counseling, education, liberal arts, general studies or a related field. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience. Consideration given to those with a varying combination of education and experience.

    Experience: Three years of experience in an educational setting preferred, with experience in teaching, academic advising or counseling and the responsibility of providing program information to others.

    License/Certification: Valid Driver's License or access to transportation required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Strong organizational skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience with advising, counseling, higher education, mentoring, and partnership development is beneficial. Familiarity and comfort with technology including data tracking and record keeping (specifically Excel/Google Sheets, other data platforms). Strong ability to design and implement resources to schools, partners, and students.

    Recommended Work Traits:

    Experience in counseling secondary school students or programming experience with students; knowledge of NH resources for students and counselors; direct experience working with underrepresented students; excellent interpersonal skills; proficiency with data base management and report writing, interact effectively with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, parents, and partners. Ability to make sound judgment in appraising situations and making routine decisions. Ability to follow specific instructions in gathering facts, data, or resources in organizing required information. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities. Ability to cold call potential partners and represent the organization in public settings.

    Location:

    The Northern Office of CCNH is located in Berlin, NH.

    Typical Work Schedule:

    This position is a twelve-month position with flexibility based on students' needs, events, and meetings. CCNH employees follow a hybrid schedule where they spend two days a week in their assigned office. A typical schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm with a flex hour from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Regular travel is required (reimbursed at the Federal Mileage Rate).
