    Description
    System Administrator

    DTSI is seeking a System Administrator to maintain the infrastructure of a mission critical enterprise environment ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency. This role involves managing servers, networks, and other critical systems to support business operations effectively while implementing a SaaS solution for the United States Air Force (USAF) at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) - Randolph Air Force Base (RAFB).

    Responsibilities
    • Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers running Windows, Linux, or other operating systems.
    • Monitor server performance, availability, and security.
    • Implement and manage server updates, patches, and upgrades.
    • Troubleshoot server issues and perform root cause analysis.
    • Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
    • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
    • Implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
    • Configure and maintain network services such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
    • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard the organization's systems and data.
    • Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
    • Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic investigations when necessary.
    • Maintain and update antivirus software, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
    • Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
    • Regularly backup critical data and test recovery procedures.
    • Implement redundant systems and failover mechanisms to minimize downtime.
    • Provide technical support to end-users on hardware, software, and network-related issues.
    • Set up and configure user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
    • Train users on IT systems and best practices.
    • Maintain helpdesk ticketing system and prioritize support requests.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
    • Provide training to staff on IT policies, procedures, and new technologies.
    Requirements
    • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
    • Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux server environments.
    • Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
    • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
    • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and tools.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    Education
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience will be considered in leu of degree.
    Security Requirements
    • DoD8570 IAT Level II - Security+ ce
    • Secret Clearance or Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
