    Description

    Job Title:
    Accountant

    Position Type: 12-month contract to hire

    Location:
    Rockville, MD

    Salary Range / Rate (Currency): $60k-80k/yr, $30-40/hr

    Job Summary (Responsibilities and Requirements):

    Responsibilities:
    Review payment applications and expense reimbursement forms.
    Prepare online banking transactions.
    Track fixed assets, including creation, transfer, and scrapping processes.
    Fill out Form-1099 at the end of each fiscal year.
    Perform physical inspections of fixed assets and participate in quarterly stock counts.
    Collaborate with the SOX and Audit teams.

    Requirements:
    Collaborating with Mandarin-speaking colleagues or partners, proficient Mandarin will be highly preferred
    2+ years accounting working experience
    AICPA certification preferred.
    Experience in an accounting department is a plus.
    Proficient in financial accounting principles and practices.
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    Familiarity with SOX compliance and audit processes.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
