- Supervisor and coordinate preparation of food in accordance with established Mirbeau recipes and specifications.
- Prepare soups, vegetables, meats, desserts, hot and cold food items according to Mirbeau recipe standards
- Develop and create unique food presentations as per Mirbeau standards
- Ensure the highest quality and consistent presentation of all food in all outlets.
- Control food cost and kitchen labor costs to achieve maximum profitability
- Assist in inventories and proper rotation of food using FIFO
- Assist the Executive Chef in ordering food products
- Define, recommend and implement any and all ideas, problems and solutions to improve the operation.
- Perform responsibilities as an Executive Chef when Executive Chef is not present
- Perform any additional assignments directed by Executive Chef and General Manager
- Ensure the kitchen and production areas are clean and maintained at highest safety standards.

Job Summary
Mirbeau Inn and Spa is looking to add a Sous Chef to the back of house staff.
Pay Rate: $23.00 to 26.00/ hour Full Time
Responsibilities
Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements
Position requires strong communication skills and proven leadership abilities. A minimum of two years of experience as a Sous Chef with a French cuisine inspired background. Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision necessary with an attention to details is required. Must have complete knowledge of kitchen equipment, sanitation standards, food presentation, and cost controls. We ask that all applicants are results oriented, energetic, creative, and enthusiastic.
