    Job Title: Project Engineer at Veolia North America

    Targeted Annual Pay Range: $110,000.00 to $130,000.00

    Role Overview: The Project Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Manager, plays a key role in offering engineering support on diverse projects.

    Main Responsibilities
    • Contribute to energy efficiency projects in design and construction phases.
    • Identify opportunities for enhanced energy performance and operational efficiency.
    • Develop cost-effective solutions for retrofits and energy projects.
    • Analyze building energy data to identify inefficiencies and anomalies.
    • Engage facility stakeholders in implementing retrofits and energy solutions.
    • Prepare project cost estimates and detailed scopes of work.
    • Understand building energy systems for optimal operation and performance.
    • Lead and influence stakeholders including facility operators and service contractors.
    • Evaluate subcontractor documentation and system performance.
    • Execute energy savings calculations and life-cycle analysis.
    • Create and implement EM&V plans.
    • Deliver measurable energy reduction at the customer's utility meter.
    • Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
    • Review and ensure quality of technical work within the energy management division.
    • Complete other assigned duties as necessary.
    Physical Requirements / Work Environment
    • Travel to job sites approximately 25% of the time.
    • Ability to climb ladders as needed.
    Qualifications

    Educational Background and Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in energy management and facility engineering, healthcare experience preferred.
    • 2 years of construction or project management experience.
    • Proficiency with HVAC controls, operation, and design.
    • Knowledge of chilled water and hot water systems.
    • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field.
    Skills and Knowledge
    • Experience with major building control system vendors.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven track record in managing client relationships.
    • Familiarity with whole-building energy modeling.
    • Proficiency in programming languages like R or Python is beneficial.
    Required Certifications / Licenses / Training
    • Professional Engineering License.
