    About the Role

    Position Summary: Primary responsibility is to coordinate fast-paced, high-volume service lines for Men's Health. This includes facilitating requests for services, obtain prior authorization and verify benefits, confirming orders, coordinating deliveries and quantity on hand, scheduling patients, and collecting payments. This process includes but is not limited to collecting all necessary documentation, communicating with internal and external stakeholders and patients for the Men's Health Specialty programs.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Verify appropriate documentation is in the chart.
    • Verify order for treatment and submit for insurance verification.
    • Verify and submit verification of benefits as applicable for the program.
    • Obtain required predetermination/prior authorizations.
    • Communicate and collaborate with applicable internal and external stakeholders, including the patient.
    • Assimilate and maintain contact information.
    • Maintain spreadsheet.
    • Manage all forms of communication (email, phone calls and/or faxes).
    • Calculate patient responsibility, communicate patient with out-of-pocket expense.
    • Scheduling patients.
    • Schedule Peer-to-Peer consultation.
    • Collect payment for all applicable services.
    • Verifying appropriate supplies are on hand and sufficient quantities are available.
    • Manage orders in the EMR.
    • Coordinate specialty pharmacy set up, scheduling and delivery.
    • Letters and medical leave paperwork.
    • Document applicable clinical information in the patients record.
    • Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or GED. 1-2 years previous experience within a medical facility preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Medical billing, coding and/or clinical knowledge is preferred.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before individuals or groups of people.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to calculate basic figures and amounts. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.

    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS, and EMR

    Other Skills and Abilities

    Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

    Demonstrate a positive, cooperative, and professional attitude towards co-workers and public. Ability to multi-task.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Travel

    Travel is primarily local during the business day.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, approximately 8 hours per workday.
