    Job Description

    EverStaff is looking for a talented and experienced Network Security Engineer to ensure the security and integrity of organization's network infrastructure. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect networks from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network security principles, technologies, and best practices, as well as hands-on experience with network security tools and technologies.

    Responsibilities:
    • Design, implement, and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), and secure access controls.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential risks and weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
    • Monitor network traffic for security breaches and respond to security incidents in a timely manner, including conducting forensic investigations and implementing remediation measures.
    • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into the design and implementation of new network systems and applications.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance to IT staff and other stakeholders on network security-related matters.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, and make recommendations for enhancing network security posture.
    • Participate in the evaluation and selection of network security products and services, including conducting proof-of-concept testing and vendor evaluations.
    • Perform security risk assessments and assist in the development of risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
    • Document network security configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for reference and training purposes.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or other relevant certifications preferred.
    • Proven experience in network security engineering, with a minimum of [X] years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing network security infrastructure.
    • in-depth knowledge of network security protocols, encryption techniques, and security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
    • Hands-on experience with network security tools and technologies, such as firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks), IDS/IPS, VPNs, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex security issues.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) is a plus.
    • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of network security.
