    Primary Talent Partners has 1 opening for a Document Control Data Analyst to join our client. This is a W2 contract opening, contract extensions are based on performance, budget, and business needs.


    Pay:
    $35-40/hr


    Duration:
    W2 contract through 11/05/2024, open to temp-to-hire (This a one-time project period, but could become an indefinite need for a professional with mid level skills)

    Tuesday/Wednesday/Fridays mandatory in office.

    Est Hours Per Week: 30-40 hrs weekly

    Work Schedule + Time Zone:
    M-F 08:00AM - 5:00 PM Houston CDT. Hours may vary.

    Description

    Support Document Control department with managing and evolving their Engineering (Electronic) Document Management System called Meridian


    Main objectives are:

    organizing digital documents, researching and creating large registry list(s) and merging multiple lists to one, gathering source files in the resulting final list and importing files into Air Liquides EDMS called Meridian.

    Additionally you will perform beginner level drafting of CAD drawings.

    Responsibilities


    The position requires a hands-on individual contributor who has organized work habits, is capable of working on and tracking a large number of tasks in a fast-paced environment and needs minimal supervision.

    Organize 20K digital (engineering) CAD documents stored on a network drive with minimal metadata.


    Process (OCR, automation, manual entry) document content/metadata to populate registry and review the attributes of the CAD drawings found and ensure the validity and quality of these documents/drawings.

    Research and populate registry for importing 3K MS Excel, Powerpoint, Visio and Word documents.

    Prepares documentation import packets for approval into the EDM System.

    Assists with importing approved electronic document packages.

    Maintains, organizes, and updates documents in electronic drawing management systems.

    Assists with immediate requests from Operations to have any specific documents not found in the repository processed and/or imported to ensure quality assurance and quality control of engineering documents

    Assist in classifying electronic content in the existing Meridian and perform basic drafting actions as well as simple corrections in the CAD drawings/documents

    Operate data capture technology to digitize and import 80K non-CAD (IMG, TIF, PDF) documents in Meridian.


    Perform other duties as assigned by manager: assisting with writing document control procedures and work instructions such that documents are compliant and applications are easy to use.

    Qualifications

    Bachelors degree or associate degree.

    Minimum 1 year expertise in Computer Aided Design CAD software: Autodesk AutoCAD.


    Any of the following machine learning modeling / automation experiences: Python, C#, Access, Advanced Macros - VBA, SQL Server to be able to automate, generate and organize large data sets of documents.

    Analyzing data, problem identification and resolution, and ability to generate clear/concise reports indicating key issues

    Having worked for 2 years in a previous document control position at an engineering, construction, or technical organization.


    Preferred experience:
    Having worked with Accruent Meridian EDMS or other electronic document management system.

    Creating VBA-macros, advanced lookups and/or functions with Google Suites or MS Office; specifically Google Sheets, MS Excel (or Access).

    Strong communication and organization skills both verbal and written

    This role may require on-location work with clients.

    Some clients may require employees and contractors coming on-site to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or to receive frequent negative COVID-19 testing.
